چکیده
The mutations present in the spike protein of omicron, a new variant SARS CoV2 favours high transmission Covid fection. To control rate infection finding an effective alternative drug can be beneficial. In our work, we have repurposed 1930 FDA approved drugs which best top five lead compounds based on their GOLD score are Telotris tetethyl, Oxyglutatione, Pentamidinium, Clindamycin palmitate, Pentagastrin having 53.2481, 52.7613, 52.7513, 52.5499, 52.5473. These were selected for further molecular interactions & visualization studies with region omicron. homology modelling 30 induced carried out and quality modelled structure was found to reasonably good 80% its residue falling accepted Ramachandran plot. frustration analysis ligand complexes analysed find contribution residues overall functioning protein.

Database identifies FDA-approved drugs with potential to be repurposed for treatment of orphan diseases
Facing substantial obstacles to developing new therapies for rare diseases, some sponsors are looking to 'repurpose' drugs already approved for other conditions and use those therapies to treat rare diseases. In an effort to facilitate such repurposing and speed the delivery of new therapies to people who need them, we have established a new resource, the Rare Disease Repurposing Database (RDRD...
متن کاملRepurposing of FDA-approved drugs against cancer – focus on metastasis
in the field of anti-cancer drug development. Drug repurposing may allow progressing through the drug development process more quickly as well as reducing project costs compared to traditional de novo drug discovery. One of the main reasons why a non-cancer drug may prove effective against cancer is that not all of its biological targets may have been identified when the drug was originally dev...
متن کاملFDA approved drugs as potential Ebola treatments
In the search for treatments for the Ebola Virus, multiple screens of FDA drugs have led to the identification of several with promising in vitro activity. These compounds were not originally developed as antivirals and some have been further tested in mouse in vivo models. We put forward the opinion that some of these drugs could be evaluated further and move into the clinic as they are alread...
متن کاملFDA approved drugs repurposing of Toll-like receptor4 (TLR4) candidate for neuropathy
Accumulating evidence indicates that toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) plays a critical role in promoting adaptive immune responses and are definitively involved in the expansion and maintenance of the neuropathic pain. However, the application of docking in virtual-screening in silico methods to drug discovery has some challenge but it allows us to make the directed and meaningful design of drugs fo...
